NOTICE FOR JUDGES OF BULGARIA – DEADLINE EXTENSION

THE DEADLINE FOR THE PRESENTATION OF THE APPLICATIONS TO THE TOT COURSE REFERRED TO THE JUDGES OF BULGARIA IS POSTPONED TO FRIDAY 18/01/2019, AS THE APPLICATIONS RECEIVED UNTIL TODAY ARE NOT SUFFICIENT TO COVER THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS TO THE TOT COURSE FORESEEN IN THE CALL FOR APPLICANTS, PUBLISHED ON THIS WEBSITE, AND IN THE RELATED PROJECT APPROVED BY THE EC.
 

CALL FOR APPLICANTS – TRAIN-OF-TRAINERS COURSE

Art. 1 – Selection Aims and Targets
This Call for applicants aims at selecting 12 notaries and judges (2 from each Country and in each professional category) coming from Italy, Bulgaria, and Hungary, who shall participate in the ToT "Train of Trainers on EU Succession and Family Law,” Course, promoted in the framework of the EU Commission co-funded Project on "EU law training in English language: blended and integrated content and language training for European notaries and judges – EulawInEN”. Fondazione Italiana del Notariato is the Project Coordinator. Other Partners include Cassa Nazionale del Notariato, the Bulgarian Notaries’ Chamber, the Hungarian Notaries’ Chamber and the International Association of Judges. 

Art. 2 – Admission and Candidate Assessment Criteria
Candidates shall be still active notaries or judges, with C1 English language proficiency according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The following aspects shall be assessed:
• Experience as a trainer;
• Scientific publications;
• Participation in activities carried out in the framework of Projects co-financed by the European Commission;
• English language proficiency certifications.
The applications shall be assessed by a Commission consisting of the Project Partners’ representatives, and chaired by the Project’s Scientific Coordinator.
Their decision shall be final.

Art. 3 – Trainer’s Job Description
The trainer shall undertake to:
• Participate in the training course that shall be held in Rome, from the 18th to the 22nd of March, 2019, for a total of 20 teaching hours, for 4 hours a day;
• Work as a trainer in two of the six Workshops to be held in Italy, Hungary, and Bulgaria, lasting 1 and a half day each, and which shall take place in April 2019 and July 2020; in July 2019 and January 2020; in October 2019 and April 2020, respectively;
• Be willing to work as trainer in the framework of the e-learning course, which shall take place from March to November 2019, if asked to do so.

Art. 4 Remuneration and Reimbursement of Expenses
For the lectures to be given by trainers during the Workshops, they shall be remunerated as follows:
- € 200.00 (gross) for the preparation of the teaching material for each Workshop;
- € 150.00 (gross) for each teaching hour (the number of teaching hours is to be defined).
 
For the lectures given in the framework of the e-learning Course, they shall be remunerated as follows:
- € 300.00 (gross) for the preparation of the teaching material;
- €150.00 (gross) per each teaching hour (the number of teaching hours is still to be defined).
 
The Project budget covers travelling and accommodation expenses up to €400.00 for travel and €200.00 for accommodation. Out of the €200.00 budget, 62% shall cover accommodation costs (up to €124), and 38% shall cover the relevant meals and local transport (for a total of €76), which shall be divided as follows: 15% for breakfast (€11.40), 30 % (€22.80) for lunch, 30 % for dinner (€22.8), and 25 % (€19.00) for local transport (taxi is not covered). The expenses incurred shall only be reimbursed upon production of the relevant receipts and invoices (for instance, train and bus ticket receipts, restaurant bills, boarding passes, etc.), as it is provided for in the Guide for Applicants 2017 (pages 54 and 55) of the European Commission Justice Programme.

Art. 5 Submission of the Applications
The notaries and judges who are interested in participating , shall submit their applications by using the forms enclosed to this Call for applicants, also attaching their CVs in the European format, by Monday, January 14th, 2019.

The details of the ToT Course, of the Workshops and of the e-learning course (number of hours, venues, schedule, curriculum, etc.) shall be agreed upon by the Partners on a case-by-case basis, depending on the Project’s requirements. The dates of the training events may be subject to change due to unforeseen reasons and/or force majeure. The candidates shall unconditionally accept the aforementioned conditions.
 
Fondazione Italiana del Notariato, for the matters falling within its scope, hereby undertakes to abide by the provisions of the EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with respect to the data provided by all applicants, which shall only be collected for purposes strictly linked to the carrying out of the Project activities. Said data may be communicated to the Project Partners, should that be necessary in order to carry out the Project activities.
